Arc Machines, Inc. was founded in
1976 by Mr. M.E. Gedgaudas, President and Mr. L.V. Reivydas, Executive
Vice President. The two founders had extensive experience in
engineering of automatic, orbital welding equipment. In the classic
approach of entrepreneurs, they felt they could do a better job than
other companies in the field and wanted to try running their own
business. The history of the last 26 years proves they were correct in
their goals!
Companies (some of which cannot be named
because of confidentiality agreements), some such as Chevron, Shell and
Ultramar we can name – all use Arc Machines, Inc. equipment.
Special engineering of equipment for which there is no commercially
available source provides constant up-dating of the company’s product line.
Valve welders, I.D. Bore Welders (fusion and filler wire), nuclear power
plant repair equipment, vision systems and many other specialized pieces of
equipment are all the result of Arc Machines Engineering and Manufacturing
skills. The company is proud to say that every special welding head or
device delivered has performed to the satisfaction of the customer!
Today the company employs approximately 200 people. The headquarters and
manufacturing facility is located in Pacoima, a part of Los Angeles,
California. Arc Machines, Inc. has three offices in Europe, in Switzerland,
Germany and the United Kingdom. Sales Representatives throughout Mexico and
the rest of Latin America represent the company and Spanish speaking
personnel in the headquarters back up our Latin American team.
Representatives around the world in: China, Korea, Singapore, India,
Australia, New Zealand and Bahrain present our equipment to customers and a
distributor in Japan complete the sales picture. The company is
professionally managed, all orders and production are computerized, and
virtually all of the manufacturing is done by numerically-controlled
equipment. The Engineering Department has done all engineering on CAD for
the last 11 years, and the company web site: www.arcmachines.com is
considered the best and most informative in the industry.
The company, however, is more than equipment. Arc Machines, Inc. is one of
the few companies in welding and the only company in orbital welding to
achieve ISO 9001 certification. In 1995, from start to finish, certification
was achieved in 9 months, which is considered to be an excellent time frame.
As the leader in orbital welding technology, Arc Machines’ shares its
expertise by serving on industry committees, such as SEMI, the Semiconductor
Equipment Manufacturers International; ASME, the American Society of
Mechanical Engineers and IAFIS, the International Association of Food
Industry Suppliers and the ISPE, the International Society of Pharmaceutical
Engineers. Many of today’s world-wide Codes and Standards, while in fact
written by committees, include contributions by Arc Machines, Inc., experts!
Today, Arc Machines, Inc. is acknowledged as the leader in orbital welding
in the world by the most important judge: the customer.
